Hospital service at Cantonment General Hospital
The OPD occupies a very important value in any Institute or hospital and is considered to be a window to the Hospital care.From the day of its inception, CG Hospital has been having one of the busiest OPD’s with a turn out of a approx. 1000 patients visiting the OPD every day. It is catering to patients from adjoining demographic regions of the country and encounters wide variety of diseases.The patients in OPD need compassionate care, clear communication and convenience. CG Hospital endeavour to provide this along with counselling for the patients.The OPD is the most appropriate place for health education for healthcare professionals. OPD slip costing Rs.10/- can be purchased at Entrance Lobby. After this you should get yourself registered in the registration counter. This slip will be valid for seven days. One will register in old registration number on subsequent visit.

Patients are seen on first come first serve basis. However, out of turn consultation may be provide in case of emergency or to senior citizens.

Location: – Registration counters for OPD services are situated near the entrance of main hospital building of CG Hospital.

Laboratory Services

The Institute has up & running diagnostic services including Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, Radiology to augment clinical services provided to the patients.

  • Laboratory – 08.00 A.M to 08.00 P.M (Mon to Sat)
  • X-Ray – 09.00 A.M to 04.00 P.M (Mon to Fri)&(Sat – 09.00 A.M to 01.00 P.M)
  • Ultrasound – 02.00 P.M to 05.00 P.M (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri & Sat)

IPD Services:

Admission to hospital are done from Emergency Medicine (Causality) or from Out Patient Department (OPD). Patients are admitted to general ward or private ward based on patient’s preference and availability of beds.

At present the bed strength of the different departments are as follows: (reference AIIMS Bhubaneswar)

Charges for admission to general wards are Rs.375/- and Rs.5025/- in private ward. The patient is required to deposit advance for 10days at the time of admission.

Emergency

The Emergency Medicine (Casualty) operates round the clock for management of emergency cases. A team of junior residents and senior resident doctors attend the emergency cases in the casualty. Other specialists are available on call basis. All the care provided in the emergency department is free of cost.

Investigations

All the investigation are performed by a specialist in the hospital. The hospital is equipped to perform all major types of biochemistry, microbiology, pathology and radiology investigations. Nominal user charges are levied to the patients for laboratory tests. All laboratory tests are done free of costs to patients holding BPL (Below Poverty Line) cards.
